Eaton – Boom nozzle

Mounted on the end of a tanker’s telescoping boom, Eaton’s boom nozzle facilitates fuel flow to an aircraft’s receiver receptacle. Interfacing voice coils in the nozzle and receptacle enable voice communication between the tanker and receiver. An electrically operated independent disconnect system allows the tanker to release latches on the boom nozzle to initiate a disconnect if receptacle latches fail to release.
